Korean Film Festival 2016 Held In Sri Lanka

On October 14th, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka successfully held the opening ceremony of the 2016 Korean Film Festival at the National Film Corporation (NFC) Theatre, Colombo.

Nimal Bopage, Secretary of Ministry of Parliamentary and Reforms and Mass Media graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government with the participation of about 300 guests from government, diplomatic missions, and all walks of life. “Born to Sing”—a comedy drama—was screened as the opening film.

The Korean Film Festival has screened 4 Korean films during 14 to 17 October, and more than a total of 930 guests watched the films. The festival was co-hosted by the Embassy and the Korea Foundation, in partnership with the NFC.
