Turkey Ready To Train Libyan Security Forces

By

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Saturday Turkey was ready to train Libyan security forces and would continue its support to the North African country during this “sensitive phase.”

Erodgan, at a news conference with visiting Libyan prime minister Abdulraheem Al-Keib, said a Turkish delegation visited Libya last month to discuss security-related needs of the country.

Turkey had supported Libya in the past and will continue doing so for the Libyan people, he said.

Al-Keib thanked the Turkish government and people for their “courageous” positions during the Libyan revolution which removed Muammar Gaddafi from power.
