Arab Ministers Recommend Freezing Syrian Assets
By KUNA
Arab economic and finance ministers have recommended a package of economic sanctions against the Syrian regime.
The proposed sanctions include a ban on Syrian officials’ travel to Arab countries and freezing of government assets, suspension of flights and a halt to any transactions with the Syrian government and its central bank.
The recommendations, made during an emergency meeting in Cairo on Saturday, will be referred to the Arab foreign ministers who will convene Sunday in Cairo to adopt punitive measures against Syria.
