Iran Says Victory Of Gaza, Horrendous Tsunami For Israel

By

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani says hard days lie ahead of Israel following the regime’s military aggression against the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Larijani pointed to Israel’s “new defeat” in its recent aggression against Gaza, saying, “You should rest assured that the Zionist regime [of Israel] has harder days ahead.”

He went on to say that during the recent war on Gaza Israel used different types of deadly weapons against the oppressed people of Gaza, but the West continued its arms supply to the regime instead of condemning such brutality.

The West is “Israel’s accomplice” in those crimes, Larijani pointed out.

The Iranian Parliament speaker praised the success of the resistance movement against Israel and reaffirmed Iran’s determination to lend all-out support to the Palestinian nation against Israel.

“We pride ourselves on supporting Lebanon’s Hezbollah to win the 33-day war in 2006. We pride ourselves on supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation in the 22-day war in 2008 and the last-week war,” Larijani said.

“We tell the oppressed Palestinian nation that we provide every kind of assistance to them so they can defeat the savage Zionist regime [of Israel,]” he added.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has hailed the recent victory of the people of Gaza against Israel’s onslaught on the coastal enclave as a “horrendous tsunami” for Tel Aviv.

“The victory of the resistance in Gaza indicated that the Palestinian resistance and the Lebanese resistance are strategic forces, and this victory was a horrendous tsunami for Israel,” Larijani said.

“Considering the victory of the Palestinian resistance, we believe it has been proved to everyone that the power of the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance is a stable power and is very important to regional security,” he added.

The Iranian Parliament speaker touched upon Israel’s military threats against Iran and asked, “How can the Israelis, who have been defeated by the small region of Gaza, engage in a war with Iran?”

“We should ascribe as little wisdom to the heads of the Israeli regime as enough for them to understand this issue,” he added.

Larijani reaffirmed Iran’s determination to continue support for the Palestinian nation as a “religious obligation.”

He also argued that several decades of the campaign by the Palestinian nation against Israel has proved that approaches of compromise will be all in vain.

Touching upon the unrest in Syria, the Iranian top legislator pointed to Iran’s support for the revolutionary movements in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain and Yemen and noted, “Also with regard to Syria, Iran advocates democratic reforms; our difference with some countries is that they seek to reform this country through the barrel of a gun.”

Larijani condemned the arming of the insurgents in Syria by some foreign countries as a measure which harms the resistance against Israel and described it as “oppression against the Syrian nation.”

Following the victory of the Palestinian resistance movement over Israel in the recent war on the Gaza Strip, Iran and Lebanon have urged continued support for the Islamic resistance in Lebanon and Palestine.

“The victory of Gaza highlights the necessity to continue resistance and Jihad against the Zionist regime (Israel). With their patience and perseverance, the people of Gaza showed that the only way to confront the Zionist regime is Jihad and resistance,” Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said.

He slammed the stance of certain Muslim countries on Palestine, adding, “Political gesture will not resolve the Palestinian people’s problem. The Palestinian people would like Muslim countries to provide them with real help.”

Larijani emphasized that support for such movements in the region is a matter of honor for Iran as they are resisting against Israel’s expansionist nature.

The top Iranian parliamentarian expressed optimism about political developments in the region and said Tehran would stand by Palestine and Lebanon.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker said Iran’s strategy is based on resistance against Zionists and the United States.

Larijani said Iran’s position is based on careful analysis, and the experience gained over the past decades has shown that this strategy is acceptable.

He added that all Western initiatives for solving the Palestinian issue have failed, and the situation of Americans and Israelis has been deteriorating over the past three decades.

“The Zionist regime thought its Iron Dome system would solve the problem of resistance rockets, and did not expect rockets to rain down on Tel Aviv,” the Iranian Parliament speaker stated.

He went on to note that the resistance of the Palestinian nation against Israel has dealt a heavy political and security blow to the Tel Aviv regime, stressing that resistance movements are spreading across the Middle East.
