Saudi Arabia Confirms Diplomat Kidnapped In Yemen


Deputy Consul-General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Aden Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Khalidi was kidnapped this morning by an armed group at the front of his residence in Aden, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the embassy immediately contacted the Yemeni security authorities at the highest levels.

All these authorities mobilized all their efforts to track the kidnappers and conduct the investigations in this heinous crime.

As it announces this, the Foreign Ministry stresses that whoever the party that kidnapped him and whatever their motives, they bear the full responsibility to protect him and release him promptly and that they will not find or derive any results from this work, stressing that the Kingdom – for its part – will take all measures to protect all its diplomats and staff, SPA said.
