Michael Sheen is joining the cast of Admission, Focus Features’ comedy starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Paul Weitz (About a Boy) is directing the project from Karen Croner’s script. It’s about an unmarried college admissions counselor (Fey) who strikes up a romance with a man (Rudd) she knew when she was in school.
Sheen will play Fey’s stiff British boyfriend. On NBC’s 30 Rock, his character – comically named Wesley Snipes -dated Fey’s Liz Lemon.
A May start in New York is being eyed.
Sheen most recently appeared in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. This year, he’ll be seen in part two of Twilight franchise as well as Terrence Malick’s latest project, whose all-star cast includes Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem and Rachel Weisz.
