Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain Strongly Condemns Lahore Terrorist Attack

Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Lahore, adding that such cowardly acts cannot deter the people’s determination against extremism and operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.

On Sunday, a suicide bomber blew himself up in Lahore in an attack that targeted Christians celebrating Easter. According to the latest figures, more than 70 people — including 29 children — were killed and over 200 wounded. A group related to the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

While expressing grief with the families of the people who lost their lives in the act of terrorism in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal park, President Mamnoon stated that the sacrifices of the people against terrorism will not go in vain and the life and property of every citizen of Pakistan will be secured by eliminating terrorism from the country.

The President said that citizens affected by terrorism would not be left alone and the government will fulfill its responsibility to protect every citizen.
