Hindus Want Apology From Australian Prime Minister Gillard Over Racist Job Ad‏

By

Upset Hindus want Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard to publicly apologize over the underlying racist attitudes in Australia against “others” as exhibited in the recent “no Indians” offensive job ad in Tasmania.

An advertisement, reportedly appearing on Gumtree website, announced about “Positions available for experienced cleaners in supermarket” at a Coles supermarket in Hobart, but added “Store requires no indians”. Launched in 1914, Coles is said to be Australia’s second-biggest chain with over 13 million weekly customers and over 750 stores.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was highly disturbing to note that such racist attitudes still existed in 21st century Australia, a culturally diverse society now. The “others” had contributed greatly to the Australian economy, academia and business despite such apparent “barriers”, he noted.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, stressed that anti-racism initiatives were immediately required in Australia and it needed to do deep introspection of its heart and be kind to immigrants, minorities, indigenous people, and other vulnerable groups. Gillard’s public apology would send a strong message against xenophobia.

Rajan Zed argued that Australia seemed to be lacking in human rights culture and it needed to do a lot to become a fully civilized society and to stay competitive globally. It still reportedly did not have a charter of rights and its human rights framework needed an urgent reform.

Zed pointed out that there had been various incidents of racist violence against Indians in the recent past. In 2011, a popular radio host reportedly termed Hindus’ holy river Ganga as “junkyard” and India a “shit hole”, thus belittling the entire community. Last year, inappropriate displaying of an image of Hindu Goddess Lakshmi on swimwear at a Sydney fashion event and depiction of highly revered Hindu deities Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu in “Ganesh Versus the Third Reich” play in Melbourne caused protests. Hindus and Jews had asked Queensland to treat all major religions evenly in the past, according to whose Education Act, “Instruction…may be given in State primary and special schools during school hours in selected Bible lessons.”

Rajan Zed’s requests to read opening prayers in Australia House of Representatives, Tasmania House of Assembly and Victoria Legislative Assembly in the past were denied, where Lord’s Prayer, a well-known prayer in Christianity, was read regularly.

A report by Australia Human Rights Commission, a statutory organization that reports to the federal Parliament, in the past highlighted “a lack of constitutional protection against racial discrimination in Australia” and talked about “absence of any entrenched guarantee against racial discrimination that would override the law of the Commonwealth”. Battle against racism would need effective solutions, amends, compensation, rights recognition, public education programs, etc., at various levels besides developing a “bill of rights” as a high-priority, Zed added.

A highly developed country and with the second-highest human development index, Commonwealth of Australia ranks as one of the best places in the world to live. Sixth-largest in the world, this country of kangaroo and koala is known for its natural beauty and has the longest continuous cultural history. Queen Elizabeth II, represented by Governor-General Quentin Bryce, is head of state. Ian McLeod is Managing Director of Coles.

I find this totally overweening on Mr. Zed’s part to ask for an apology from the Australian PM.

What responsibility does the Australian Prime Minister has towards the action of a store chain? Is it not appropriate to ask the executives of the company itself to address the issue?

On the other hand, it is hypocrisy to see upper-caste Hindus in denial about the practice of caste as racism against millions of lower-caste and Untouchables who are degraded, slaughtered and raped by upper-castes in India. India doesn’t even recognizes crimes against Untouchables and lower-castes by upper-castes as racism.

Can Mr. Zed please address the preservation of heinous practice of casteism by caste Hindus in India?

    Harmeet is quite right.
Indians cannot afford top talk of racism as long as somethoing far worse called casteism exists in the form that India perpetuates
The Australian PM has nothing to do with this.
Can you blame anyone not wanting Indians as cleaners when it is reported that India has 400 million open lavatories?

Typical. As soon as some sort of progressive action is required where there is some accountability from the white Australians, instantly they start attacking the people who have been victimized by the whites. What I have noticed in western countries is that white people tend to demonize the people whom they have attacked, so they can draw attention away from the white crimes. Creating fear of the people who are the victims, like using castism, and extreme religion, and Black/Mexican gangs in America(created by the system of white dominance and crime wave from white they live in) etc are cover for the crimes committed by the whites so no proper investigation can not be done of the white crimes. The police dont seem to take white crime seriously, treating it and the victims situation as something to be mocked. I hope there is a further international investigation on this white crime wave on people from other countries. There should be an investigation from the inter nation community, including many different countries, investigating Australia, possibly Europe and us as well. Hope fully this helps people suffering in silence in Australia who don’t have a voice yet, and brings Asian countries together, and undoes the divide and rule model of politics imposed on the people from Asia separating all the countries under subtle differences. Done let the people of European decent make you hate your own people, or any of your neighboring countries, they do this by design (divide and conquer) so they distract you from the white crimes, and make you attack your own friends and neighbors, instead of standing up to the white injustice. Peace, love, speak out and question.

    Dear Joe,

Are you saying that there is nowhere in the Hindu Scriptures and Hinduism itself that degrade humans of a certain blood descent to Untouchables, Pariahs, Outcasts and Sudras(the caste slaves)?

Do you think degrading humans as Untouchables and Slaves is not racist?

    Dear “harmeet singh”

It is great to have you especially masquerading by using my name as pseudonym.

Since you haven’t answered the question I posted about the Hindu Scriptures, I wanted to send you “enlightened” spiritual quotes from the most cherished Scripture amongst the caste Hindus, the ManuSamriti which are going to make your life beautiful.

Please turn to VIII.270: “A once born man(Sudra) who insults twice born man with gross invective, shall have his tongue cut out; for he is of low origin”.

VIII.271 reads: “If Sudra mentions the names and castes of twice born with contumely, an iron nail, ten fingers long, shall be thrust red-hot into his mouth”.

VIII.272. If he arrogantly teaches Brahmanas their duty, the King shall cause hot oil to be poured into his mouth and into his ears”.

VIII.279. “With whatever limb a man of low caste does hurt to highest caste even that limb shall be cut off: that is the teaching of Manu”.

VIII.281. “A low-caste man who tries to place himself on the same seat with a man of high-caste shall be branded on his hip and be banished, or the King shall cause his buttock to be gashed”.

Could you please explain the signifigance of these “beautiful” quotes of racism and violence practiced by caste Hindus?

Why have Hindus of India like you and Rajan Zed shown no moral outrage against spiritual racism of upper-castes?

    Dear “harmeet singh”

Thanks for your reply. If a non-Hindu asks a question about the manifested cruelty practiced by the Hindu Scriptures against lower-caste and women then the non-Hindu first faces lies, deception and outright denial and if that doesn’t work it is followed by accusations, personal attacks and insults by caste Hindu. This caste Hindu ritual however, is too old to work against me.

Here is your beautiful lie that the Manusmriti is confined only for Brahmin power when the Manusamriti in fact explicitly demands the lower-castes to be mutilated, deformed and subjugated by upper-castes or the “twice born” Hindus.

Why are Hindus like Rajan Zed not speaking against ManuSamriti that demands the subjugation of lower-castes by upper-castes?
You may want to read the Vedas one more time, the Purusha Sukta of Rig Veda describes the creation of four castes from birth and form the pillar of Vedic racism. In fact, the Vedas are the origin of Hindu caste system.

Please open your Gita and read this verse 9:32 that has condemned almost 90% of humanity to sinful birth (papa-yoni) – born out of sinful womb.

“Women, vaisyas [merchants], sudras [caste- workers], or any people of sinful birth go to the supreme abode, if they take shelter in me. Gita 9:32

Please tell us, are you therefore, born of a sinful birth of a woman as described by Gita?

    Dear Hanuman ji,

Thanks for not answering my question and proving my point. The purpose of my question was to understand the spiritual pleasure of incitement to genocide, mas murder and rape against humans including women, Sudras(caste-laves) and Untouchables that is very well present and manifested in scriptures of Hinduism. By restoring to these rituals of brutalization you are essentially proving my point.

I would urge you to think clearly and please explain the signifigance of these quotes of barbarity practiced by caste Hindus against lower-castes? Do you find them to be “pleasurable” in spiritual quest of castehood?
