UK lifts travel warning to Tunisia

The UK government lifted the warnings against travel to Tunisia on Saturday, in light of the “reduced threat” following the recent political conflict in this North African country.
The UK’s decision which was made last month to ban flights to Tunisia came as a result of Tunisia’s political unrest and threats to security and instability during that period, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt said.
He said the move came following an improvement in the situation in Tunisia, he added.
“There is now a new government which is broad-based and has signalled its intention to deliver political reform and a path of reform to what we hope will be free and fair elections.
