UN Security Council Agrees Text Of Resolution On Syria Observer Mission

The UN Security Council has agreed the text of a resolution to increase the number of observers in Syria from 30 to 300. The agreed text includes suggestions of Moscow and the European Union.

Earlier on Friday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said the Russian plan envisages the creation of the UN Observer Mission for the initial period of 90 days and consisting of 300 people. The vote on the resolution takes place tonight.
