Nigerian officials say all 153 people on board a Nigerian passenger aircraft flight were killed when the plane crashed into a building in Lagos.

President Goodluck Jonathan has declared three days of official mourning for the victims and ordered a thorough investigation into the disaster.

Officials from Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority say the Dana Airlines flight was traveling Sunday from Abuja to Lagos when it crashed into a two-story building in a densely populated residential area, setting other buildings on fire.

One-hundred 53 people on board the plane were killed. It is unclear if anyone on the ground was killed.

Dana Airlines is a domestic air carrier that operates a fleet of Boeing MD-83 aircraft for the hour-long flight from Abuja to Lagos.
