By

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Force started a war game in the western province of Kermanshah on Saturday, January 4.

The main stage of the war game, codenamed “Payambar-e Azam (The Great Prophet) 19 ”, kicked off in the western regions of Iran this morning.

The IRGC Ground Force has stationed various units, including its ‘Mirza Kuchak Khan’ special forces brigade, in the drill zone.

A whole host of specialized military units have taken part in the exercise.

During the first phase of the war game, the special forces carried out rapid reaction operations.

Iran’s Armed Forces hold routine military exercises throughout the year.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will never be subject to negotiations.
