Meanwhile, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, applauded efforts of Temple leaders and area community to realize this Hindu temple complex.
Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that it was important to pass on Hindu spirituality, concepts and traditions to coming generations amidst so many distractions in the consumerist society and hoped that this temple complex would focus in this direction. Zed stressed that instead of running after materialism, we should focus on inner search and realization of Self.
According to reports, this Temple will form part of a larger complex named Govinda’s Sanctuary, which is termed as “a permanent place for the enlightenment of the soul” and which will include a reference library, yoga studio, vegetarian restaurant, meditation sites, quarters for students-teachers-visitors-guests, etc. Site has been purchased for this Sanctuary; which aims to provide facilities for religious worship, education, social functions, and performing arts; serving as a center for preserving culture and source of spiritual inspiration. Surapala Dasa and Krishna-mayi Dasi are said to be leading this Temple initiative.
