Nigeria: Scores Killed In Maiduguri Attacks

Over 50 people were killed and at least 95 injured in last night’s suicide bomb attacks in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, said rescuers and medics to various newspapers.

First reconstructions by investigators indicate that the suicide blasts were simultaneous at around7:38pm yesterday in the suburbs of Ajilari, Railway Cross and Bintu Sugar.

The high number of dead and injured is because the areas in question were busy at that time of evening. A survivor told the Vanguard that in Ajilari the blast hit near a center for mobile phone charges.
