Yemen Minister Stresses Protestors Protected

Yemen Minister of Interior Mutahir al-Masri said late Wednesday that security forces are impartially protecting protestors, whether they are for the opposition or pro-government parties, reports Yemeni state media agency SABA.

Al-Masri made the statement during his meeting with the US ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feierstein, according to SABA, where the minister was briefing the ambassador on the role the security forces “play in ensuring security and stability in the country.”

According to SABA, the US diplomat hailed the role of Yemen’s security forces.
