Pakistan: Attempt To Attack Parliament Foiled

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Saturday revealed that a terror bid to attack the joint session of the Parliament during the Presidential address has been foiled.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik talking to newsmen said that the terrorists had planned to attack the parliament while the President gave his fifth address to the joint session.

Several terrorists and a government employee, he added, have been arrested in this regard.

The Minister said that the terrorists belong to Miramshah, the main city of North Waziristan tribal agency.
