Morocco: Turnout For New Constitution Referendum 70.62 Percent

Turnout of a public referendum over King Mohammad VI’s draft new constitution was 70.62 percent on Friday, the Interior Minister said.
Al-Tayyeb Al-Sharqawi, speaking to reporters, announced the initial turnout and said ballots were closed at 7:00 pm local time without extension.
He explained that the voting took place in and outside Morocco.
The voting “took place in normal conditions and in atmospheres of calm, responsibility and patriotic spirit,” he said.
Final results are expected after four days.
