US-EU Summit Scheduled November 28 In Washington

U.S.-EU summit on a wide range of global issues will be held in Washington on November 28, the White House said in a statement.

U.S. President Barack Obama will meet at the White House with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, and High Representative Catherine Ashton.

The participants will “discuss a broad range of issues of mutual concern, including the global economy,” efforts to strengthen economic ties and growth, and joint work to support democracy and prosperity in the world, the White House said in a statement.

The agenda of the meeting also includes the coordination of positions on Iran and cooperation in the fight against global terrorism.

The most recent U.S.-EU Summit was held in Lisbon, Portugal on November 20, 2010.
