Israel urged citizens vacationing in the Egyptian Sinai peninsula to leave the area immediately because they might be abducted.
This came in an urgent statement by the anti-terror authority of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
The statement, cited by Israeli media, called on all Israeli citizens to immediately leave Sinai and told those willing to travel to the peninsula to cancel their trips.
It said the tourists might be abducted by Palestinian factions and some Bedouin tribes.
The warning came after Israel killed three commanders of Hamas military wing, Izzuddin Al-Qassam brigades, in Gaza early today. The brigades said Israel would be sorry for the killing.
