Iran’s Foreign Minister To Begin Tour Of Region As Insurgency Rages In Syria

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is going to visit several regional countries for talks on the latest developments in the region, especially the situation in Syria whose Aleppo city has fallen to terrorist groups. 

The top Iranian diplomat will be leaving Tehran for several countries in the region for talks over the regional developments, especially the recent events, Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei said.

He noted that Araqchi will fly to Damascus on Sunday for consultations with the Syrian officials.

The foreign minister will then leave Syria for Ankara for negotiations with the Turkish officials, Baqaei added, noting that Araqchi will visit another country afterwards.
