Jansrud Wins Super-G World Cup, Feuz Takes Third In Kvitfjell

Switzerland’s Beat Feuz finished third in the World Cup super-G event on the Olympic course in Kvitfjell, Norway, on Sunday.

Feuz, who won a super-G race in Kvitfjell on Friday and came fourth in Saturday’s downhill, was beaten by two Norwegians, Kjetil Jansrud and Aksel Lund Svindal.

Jansrud celebrated his first World Cup win finishing in 1 minute, 34.02 seconds.

Svindal was 0.21 behind, with Beat Feuz of Switzerland in third, 0.26 behind the winner.

In the overall World Cup standings, Feuz climbed to 1,250 points with the third-place finish, extending his lead over second-placed Marcel Hirscher to 115 points.

With his second-place finish, Svindal extended his lead in the super-G standings over Switzerland’s Didier Cuche, who finished sixth. Svindal (413) leads Cuche (371) by 42 points with one race remaining at the World Cup finals in Schladming, Austria.
