9 Intruders Arrested At Nogent-Sur-Seine Nuclear Site

EDF said Monday that “the intrusion of a group of 9 people was brought to an end” earlier today, and “These 9 people are no longer present on the Nogent-sur-Seine nuclear site. They have been arrested by the national police.”

According to EDF, the intruders entered the site illegally and were immediately detected by thesecurity system.

“Their movements around the site were monitored constantly, and the decision was made not to use any force,” EDF said.

This intrusion has had no impact whatsoever on the security of the plant, nor on the safety of the personnel on site, EDF said, adding there has been no evidence of any intrusions onto any other EDF nuclear sites.
