General Paloméros will be taking over from Air Force General Stéphane Abrial. Throughout his command, which began in 2009, General Abrial contributed actively to the adaptation of the Atlantic Alliance’s structures, concepts, resources, training assets and defence planning process. The Council wishes to express its deep appreciation to General Abrial, on behalf of the governments of the NATO countries.
