Al Qaeda Leader In Arabian Peninsula Survives US Attack

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the United States’ Thursday air attack in Yemen aimed at killing the leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

American-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki has survived the drone attack.

The missile missed its target but killed two midlevel al Qaeda members.

The Journal cites Yemeni and U-S officials.

After Osama bin-Laden’s death, there were some reports suggesting Awlaki to become al Qaeda leader.
