Thailand Aborts Terror Plot

Thai police said Saturday they had foiled a plot to carry out a terrorist attack in Bangkok.

National police chief Priewpan Damapong was quoted by Bangkok Post paper as saying that that “an Arab citizen was arrested on Friday for allegedly planning a terrorist attack in the Thai capital.”

Previous reports said Thai police were hunting a terrorist suspect in connection with this case.

Israel had issued a travel warning for its nationals, warning them not to go to Bangkok, and those present here to leave immediately.
