Stupidity Behind Middle East War – OpEd
As the war in West Asia between Israel/USA on the one hand and Iran on the other hand appear to be coming to an end , the discerning observers all over the world would think that this war is entirely avoidable and only reflects on the fact that the leadership of the three countries involved in the war have hollowness in their thought process.
Historically, the world has witnessed several small and big wars over centuries, which inevitably have ended without solving any issue but , on the other hand, only leading to more wars and paving way for creating lasting bitterness and conflicts.
The animosity between Israel and Iran have been there for several decades with Iran taking a pledge to wipe out Israel from the world map and consequently, the issue becoming one of life and death for Israel and Israel determined to defeat Iran militarily at any cost.
While it is apparent to everyone that neither Iran can destroy Israel nor Israel can destroy Iran ultimately , the leadership of both the countries seem to think otherwise.
This unending Israel Iran conflict has been going on for several years ,when the world took it for granted and started viewing it as a regional conflict with no solution insight , as the leadership of both the countries appear to lack positive vision.
In the present West Asia war, the entry of USA has made it a conflict that have impacted the entire world , upset the global economy and trade practices. Many people inevitably think that the thought process of leadership of USA is really no different from the leadership of Israel and Iran, with US President frequently making statement like Iran would be wiped out.
What remained as a regional conflict was converted into a conflict with global impact by the US leadership. As the war appears to be coming to an end with all the three countries involved in the war becoming tired and desiring for a way out from the war , the net result is that none has gained and other countries in the world have suffered enormously for no fault of theirs.
While Israel and Iran has traditional bitterness with leadership of both the countries excessively and unwisely relying on their military capability, the question is as to why USA got involved in this war. The war is not on US soil. U S is involved in no way in this conflict , as seen by others.
Obviously, the US leadership wishfully and erroneously think that US has the right to get involved in any issue across the world, as U S seem to think that it has been created to police the world . US has gone to the extent of blockading the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping activity, throttling the ship movement in the name of forcing Iran to surrender. Such act of U S leadership can be viewed by discerning observers as the height of superiority complex of U S and its blind faith that it has the muscle power to dictate the world and think that the world events would happen only by applying force and hegemony.
At present, such conflicts and wars are not restricted to Iran and Israel/US alone and are happening in several other regions such as Ukraine Russia war and so on. All these wars too are happening due to the hollowness of the thought process of the leadership of the countries and regions involved , who are so short sighted and ignore that human life is only for a few years or decades and killing one or the other for realization of the goals is the height of stupidity.
Historians will judge this West Asia war as reflection on the hollowness in the thought process of leadership of the countries involved lacking in maturity and global responsibility and lack of concern about the sufferings to the world community.
This West Asia war has caused no conclusive results just as no war in the history has rendered any conclusive results. All that the world can hope is that God should bestow the leadership of the countries with capability to think and act with wisdom.
