Bosnian mosques targeted with arson attacks

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Interior Ministry said Saturday several of the country’s mosques came under arson attacks recently.

The ministry declined, in a statement issued here, to blame the attacks on any political party.

The statement said investigation conducted by security authorities did not identify yet any clue to the perpetrators of the campaign on mosques.

The ministry also warned against any internal sectarian violence which could lead to destabilization of the country, cautioning all to be vigilant and patient until the investigation concludes.

In recent days, several mosques in the country, including an old mosque in the Bosnian capital city of Sarajevo, have been the target of molotov cocktail attacks.
