A mass demonstration with most liberal and Islamist parties and movements participating is expected to be held on Tahrir Square in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Friday, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

Protest organizers say the event will be against former allies of ousted President Hosni Mubarak running for president.

The Egyptian parliament recently approved a bill on political isolation of Mubarak’s supporters for ten years but the document needs to be signed by the acting head of state, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, to be binding.

Protest organizers have called on participants to avoid any violence.
