Israel: Trash Can Bomb Hits West Jerusalem Bus

A trash bin next to West Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station exploded Wednesday afternoon, hitting a bus and injuring 12 passengers, Israeli media reported, according to Ma’an.

Ma’an’s report said the explosion injured passengers on the no. 74 bus, with reports saying the injuries were moderate to serious.

According to VOA, the blast was near a major entrance to the city in an area teeming with afternoon shoppers and commuters.

VOA reported that television footage showed victims being rushed to hospitals on stretchers.

The explosion shook buildings and broke windows several blocks away.
