Khwarij Attack On Ambulance In Karak: A Stark Reminder Of Brutality – OpEd
On 23 February 2026, Fitina al-Khawarij carried out one of the most atrocious attacks of terrorism. Initially, they carried out a premeditated attack on a Federal Constabulary post in Qila Shaheedan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The group attacked security personnel with a quadcopter, and, with two ambulances taking wounded people away, the terrorists committed an inconceivable atrocity: one ambulance was burned down, in which injured responders could be found, and the other ambulance just escaped. The driver and a Rescue 1122 official were injured, which shows the high level of danger of people who are involved in humanitarian work.
The fact that it happened during the holy month of Ramadan indicates the extent of moral degradation that the Khawarij had.The intentional attack on an ambulance, which is the symbol of humanitarian service, proves not only the desire to spread fear but also the open violation of the religious prohibitions and the fundamental principles of human morals.
