Saudi Arabia Dispels Rumors Of King’s Death, Says In Good Health

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, was reassured Monday on the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during his visit to King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh, reports the Saudi Press Agency.

According to SPA, upon arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Commander of the National Guard; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; and the princes sons of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Crown Prince prayed to God Almighty to grant the King good health, reported SPA.

The SPA announcement follows reports from the Arabic newspaper, Asharq Alawsat, that claims Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, has been in a state of ‘clinical death’ for the past two days. A report by the paper claimed that medical staff in Saudi Arabia have confirmed that the King’s basic organs are no longer working, reports Al Bawaba news.

The Saudi Arabian government has denied those reports, and the SPA is reporting top members of the royal family visited King Abdullah a week after he underwent surgery to tighten a ligament in his back.
