Yemen: Three Dead In Violence
Clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces reported in south Yemen, leaving one protester and two troops dead.
Fighting erupted in the port city of Aden on Wednesday when protesters tried to enforce a general strike by blocking roads and burning tires, Reuters reported.
According to medical officials, one protester died in the attacks and three others are in critical condition.
Two troops have also been shot dead in the turmoil, local officials said.
The incident comes amidst opposition calls for a nationwide campaign of civil disobedience to topple President Abdullah Saleh.
