Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police carved a new milestone in the history of the security related to province in 2025. It displayed unprecedented bravery, devotion, and sacrifice in the war on terror. Against all odds, the high-temperature security climate, and the unremitting effort of the police force in protecting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a ray of hope. They demonstrated such resilience not only by their professional competence throughout the year but also by the fact that they dealt with terrorist threats and local criminal activity with such determination that nothing halted them. It was such an exceptional year that the sacrifices made will always be imprinted in the minds of the people of the province. It cemented the role of the police as one of the main forces behind the peace and stability of the region.

The police force made 3,277 intelligence-driven operations, and this resulted in the capture of 1,300 terrorists and the neutralization of 459. This is in spite of the fact that the police endured constant assaults totaling 536 attacks and repelled 324 of them, which is evidence of the efficiency of their operations as well as their ability to withstand the attacks. These figures are a testament to their professionalism and courage. The police were extremely tough in all their operations, and in most cases, they risked losing their lives to guarantee the safety of the people. It was a sad affair when police officers lost their lives in the line of duty, as 159 officers lost their lives fighting against terrorism. Their eventual martyrdom was one that guaranteed the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to enjoy peace and security.

In addition to combating terrorism, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police conducted over 18,000 search and strike operations, and in the process, over 80,000 suspected criminals were arrested. Such operations were not only designed to attack terrorists, but also criminals who were stationed in the area, improving law and order in the province. The Bomb Disposal Unit is another vital entity that helped in ensuring that the people were safe, and they managed to neutralize 110 IEDs and 385 hand grenades, which would have otherwise caused innumerable tragedies.

A resolution of 6,300 local disputes was also among the greatest accomplishments this year, and it contributed to the strengthening of the relations between the police and the communities in which they operate. Such attempts at resolving conflicts indicate that the police are not only willing to combat crime but also enhance their relations with the people, which is important when establishing a sense of trust and collaboration.

Technological advances also had an important role to play in enhancing security and public service. The introduction of 335 new CCTV cameras and repairing the 800 non-functioning cameras significantly improved the surveillance capacity, hence it became easy to watch the risky areas. Moreover, 4,700 complaints out of six thousand complaints were effectively solved through the Police X Service Portal, giving the citizens a more efficient and responsive police service. This is a strong sign that the police are determined to be contemporary with regard to their operations and serving the people better.

According to a survey conducted by Gallup, 59 percent of the citizens were satisfied with the work that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was doing. This is positive feedback on the high-quality improvements in the state of the services that the police offer to the community, and also the growing confidence between the community and the police who serve the community.

The exceptional performance of cops in 2025 has proved that nothing is impossible with determination, sacrifice, and professionalism. This bravery and commitment of the police will be a golden page in the history of the province. Their success and sacrifice not only guarantee the safety of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also act as a role model of service to the people, strong-willed personalities, and their determination for the greater good. Their history will still lead the succeeding generation towards peace and security.
