Hundreds Of Swiss Names On Stratfor’s Hacked Client List

The private details of hundreds of Swiss are amongst those on a client list which was hacked from the database of American company Stratfor on Christmas Eve.

Swiss radio station DRS revealed on Tuesday evening that credit card numbers, phone numbers, passwords and private addresses belonging to Swiss citizens were amongst the information stolen by a hacking syndicate dubbed Anonymous.

Stratfor is a Texas-based security think tank. It is believed around 4,000 names were on the company’s stolen client list.

Among the company’s Swiss clients believed to be affected by the hacking operation are employees of Swiss banks UBS and Julius Bär, and of multinational food company Nestlé.

The private details of employees of the Swiss defense and foreign ministries are also believed to have been on the stolen list.
