Panasonic has confirmed that it will showcase a 20-inch tablet capable of displaying 4K imagery at the IFA trade show next month, Digital Spy said.
The Japanese manufacturer claims that the slate will be the lightest and thinnest of its kind, but has divulged scant details of its hardware capabilities.
Panasonic unveiled a 20-inch tablet at the CES trade show in January, a Windows 8 device with a 1.8GHz Intel i5 3427U vPro processor, Nvidia GeForce graphics chip, and 4GB of memory on board.
The tablet on show at the Las Vegas event was billed as a paper replacement, but weighed in considerably heavier than the new slate is expected to.
Panasonic’s upcoming tablet will boast an OLED display with a resolution of 3840 pixels × 2160 lines.
The firm will lift the lid on the unnamed tablet during its IFA press conference on September 4.
