Egypt: Number Of Injured In Cairo Clashes 507

The number of people wounded in clashes between Egyptian policemen and protesters at downtown Cairo Tahrir Square has risen to 507, a medical official said Saturday.
Out of the figure, 442 have received medical treatment on the spot and 65 others, including 19 policemen, have been taken to hospital, Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population Mohammad Al-Sherbini said.
The ministry’s medical teams have provided necessary medical treatment for all those injured in the clashes, he said.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Prime Minister Esam Sharaf urged the protesters to leave Tahrir Square in order to keep it open for traffic.
