Israeli Strike In Lebanon Kills Hamas Deputy Head Saleh Al-Arouri

Hamas officially confirmed that its chief of staff for the West Bank and Gaza, Saleh Al-Arouri, was killed Tuesday in an Israeli raid on his office in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Al-Arouri, a key figure in Hamas and one of the architects of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, was killed along with two other Al-Qassam leaders.
Some sources suggest that the Israeli attack occurred just hours after Al-Arouri met with Hassan Nasrallah.
Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati denounced the explosion, labeling it a “new Israeli crime” and warning against the export of Israeli failures in Gaza to Lebanon’s southern border.
Al-Arouri was a founding commander of Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
