Djokovic Beats Nadal To Win Wimbledon Title


Serbia’s Novak Djokovic won his first Wimbledon title with a 6-4 6-1 1-6 6-3 win over Rafael Nadal on Sunday.

The victory was the Serb’s 50th win in 51 matches. It was also his fifth win over Nadal this year.

Djokovic, the first Serb to win Wimbledon, is now the new men’s world number one.

“It’s really hard to describe this with any words except as the best day of my life, the most special day of my life,” he said

This is his third Grand Slam title after two Australian Open victories.
