Russia Calls For Resuming Palestinian-Israeli Talks

Russia called once again for continuation of efforts to resume the peace process on the Palestinian-Israeli track.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement released Friday that Special Envoy of Russia’s President to the Middle East Alexander Sultanov stressed during his meeting with Israeli Ambassador in Moscow Dorit Golende, not to undermine efforts to resume the negotiating process between Palestinians and Israel.

He added that resuming the talks might contribute to improving the situation in the region and the reduction of delinquency toward radicalism in the Middle East.

Both officials discussed regional developments their impacts on the peace process, the statement added.

Sultanov also affirmed Russia’s readiness to play a major role for complete settlement in the region.
