Yemen: President Saleh Once Again Refuses To Sign Exit Deal
Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah on Wednesday refused once again to sign an exit deal brokered by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council. This came after reports earlier in the day that he is going to do so.
However, Gulf mediator Abdullatif al-Zayani left Sana’a on Wednesday without the signing of the accord.
Yemen’s state news agency Saba said Zayani flew out of Sana’a, as sources close to negotiations between the regime and opposition said the two sides had failed to sign on the proposed accord.

Zayani, Secretary General of the GCC, had returned to the Yemeni capital, Sana’a on Saturday for a three-day visit to try to revive the Gulf initiative.
President Saleh has said that under the constitution he should serve out his current term of office, which expires in 2013.
