Brussels airport says de-icing shortage resolved

Brussels Airport announced that two aircraft handling agents, Flightcare and Aviapartner, were able to gather enough de-icing liquid to handle most of the departing flights today.

Brussels Airport, however, advised passengers to check the flight information before going to the airport.

Last night, Brussels Airport had announced that the airport remains open but the airline handlers are facing a de-icing shortage and therefore flight departures were not guaranteed.

However, heavy snow fell again in Belgium last night which is bound to create further, rail , road and air traffic problems.

Several flights mainly to European destination were either cancelled or delayed this morning from Brussels airport.
