In its first year, the initiative made significant strides, particularly through the installation of 40 solar tube wells, which irrigated 800 hectares of land in Balochistan. The initiative’s second phase further expanded its impact, with 83 additional solar tube wells installed, supporting 1,660 hectares of land. More than 110 households have already reaped the benefits of this initiative, with even greater impacts expected as the project expands. The role of the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) in providing essential public services like land leveling and fertilizer distribution has further strengthened the initiative’s positive influence on local communities.

Addressing Pakistan’s Agricultural Challenges

Pakistan’s agricultural sector faces numerous challenges, including population growth, outdated farming methods, limited foreign investment, and inadequate irrigation infrastructure. These challenges hinder the sector’s ability to meet the country’s food security and economic needs.
