Italy’s Prandelli: Spain Always Play The Same

By

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli expects no tactical surprises when his team face Spain in their first match at Euro 2012, but that does not make the Italians’ task any easier, he said Saturday.

Italy go into Sunday’s game with a poor recent record after failing to score in three defeats in their last three friendlies, and the team has been disrupted by a match-fixing scandal in the Italian league.

“Spain always play the same way and few teams can match them, that’s their strength,” Prandelli said.

The other two teams in group C, Ireland and Croatia play in the late game Sunday.
